Moms in Prayer: Covering True North Academy with Prayer

If you’re a mom with some free time after drop-off, Moms in Prayer is the perfect group to connect, encourage one another, and lift our school in prayer. The group meets every Monday at 8:30 a.m. in Room 201 for one hour.

What is Moms in Prayer?

Moms in Prayer is an international program in more than 150 countries, with a vision to see every school in the world covered in prayer. Moms In Prayer | Prayer Network | Christian Community

At True North Academy, our group not only prays for our children but also for one another. As Galatians 6:2 reminds us, “Bear one another’s burdens.” Moms in Prayer creates space to do just that.

The Four Steps of Prayer

Each week, group leader Christine Perry chooses an attribute of God from the Moms in Prayer website to guide the hour. Four Steps of Prayer - Moms In Prayer International

Together, the group follows the Four Steps of Prayer:

1. Praise – Using the chosen attribute to worship God for who He is.

2. Silent Confession – Quietly confessing sins to God.

3. Thanksgiving – Sharing gratitude for what God has done personally and in the group. This step also lets moms hear what’s happening in each other’s lives.

4. Intercession – Praying for children, teachers, school concerns, and the Moms in Prayer ministry worldwide.
