What was your early career like?  God used my love of learning and teaching from a biblical worldview perspective to lead me into education several years ago, following a two-decade sales career in the hospitality and theme parks industries that took me to many foreign countries. I began as a substitute teacher at The First Academy in Orlando, FL, and eventually taught Spanish for five years at The Classical School of The First Academy, a hybrid homeschool program. I have also taught American Government and Economics.

Tell us about your family:  I am blessed beyond measure to be married to Tim, and we reside in Celebration, Florida.  We are partners  at Celebration Community Church, where I have served in the hospitality and Kids44 children’s ministries.

What do you love about TNA and the Principle Approach®?  The catalyst that triggered my vision for a biblical-classical school in Celebration was a course on providential history that I took in 2013, Rudiments of America’s Christian History and Government, where I was introduced to the Principle Approach® methodology. Since that time, I have become a fervent student and teacher of the Principle Approach®, and in June 2021, I earned the Master Teacher Certification in the Principle Approach®. 

The Principle Approach® method is unique and transformational because it is a biblical method that cultivates a love of God and His Word in the students’ hearts and minds, as well as a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.  Because the Principle Approach® focuses on Providential history, the learner is able to see God’s hand in all circumstances and events and develop an understanding that God uses each individual to accomplish His purposes for His glory.

I love that all our faculty, staff, and families share the same passion for God's absolute truth and sovereignty over all spheres of life. It is exciting to see how God's hand is actively working at TNA!
